PEORIA, AZ – A male driver failed to negotiate a curve, which led to a rollover crash that claimed the life of one woman in Peoria on Friday, according to AZFamily.
Peoria Police said the incident unfolded around 12:30 p.m. when the male driver missed a curve while approaching the intersection of North 85th Avenue and West Peoria Avenue. The impact of the rollover crash caused the male driver and his female passenger to be thrown from their vehicle.
The 42-year-old woman, identified as Caitlin Caldwell Lowrey, died from her injuries at the scene. The driver survived and was transported to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.
Police confirmed no other vehicles were involved and are working to determine whether speed or impairment was a contributing factor behind the rollover crash.
