MESA, AZ – At least one person sustained unspecified injuries as a result of a multi-vehicle collision on the westbound Loop 202 near Gilbert Road on Thursday.
The crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. Immediately following the collision, closures were issued for the westbound lanes, and drivers were asked to use the exit leading toward McDowell Road-Gilbert Road.
Officials reopened the westbound lanes after 8 p.m. The eastbound lanes continued to stay open to traffic.
The severity of injuries was not reported, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
