PHOENIX, AZ – An E-bike rider’s life was claimed in a crash involving a Jeep Compass on Friday, according to AZFamily.
The E-bike and Jeep collided around 4 a.m. in the area of 24th Street and Sky Harbor Circle, outside the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. EMS crews rushed the cyclist to a hospital, where he later died.
Police confirmed the driver stayed at the scene, but did not say if they were cited or arrested for their involvement in the crash.
Officials shut down 24th Street from Buckeye Road to Sky Harbor Circle. During the closures, drivers were able to make a U-turn to avoid the area.
