PHOENIX, AZ – According to AZFamily, a driver died in a fiery wreck near the I-17 SB off-ramp and Deer Valley Rd on Monday.
The driver was speeding when they failed to negotiate a curve and hit a light pole before slamming into a concrete sign base around 9:15 p.m. The vehicle then caught on fire.
First responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
Officials have not identified the driver.
