News: Driver crashes into home near Park Meadows, kills sleeping man

PHOENIX, AZ – A  driver slammed into a home near S 31st Ave and W Southern Ave and killed a man sleeping inside on Wednesday, according to FOX 10.

Aaron Johns, 38, was driving east on Wayland Dr when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with the home around 1 a.m.

The crash caused Jose Martinez Aguirre, 66, to become pinned underneath Johns’s vehicle.

Rescue crews extricated Aguirre and transported him to an area hospital, where he died.

Authorities determined Johns was impaired and arrested him for Manslaughter.
