AVONDALE, AZ – The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the details behind a fatal pedestrian crash reported on Interstate 10 in Avondale on Friday.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound lanes near Avondale Boulevard, according to Arizona Family.
Based on what we know so far, it appears a man died after being struck by several vehicles on the freeway.
Troopers shut down the eastbound lanes and re-diverted traffic onto Avondale Boulevard for the scene clean-up process and overall investigation period.
Authorities have not provided a time estimate regarding when closures will be lifted.
Officials have not released the victim’s name and are actively working to determine the cause of the collision.
