News: Child seriously hurt in Phoenix auto vs. pedestrian crash

PHOENIX, AZ – Medics transported an 11-year-old boy to the hospital with serious injuries Monday night after a car struck him at a busy intersection, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of South 48th Street and Broadway Road, which is just west of the Double Butte Cemetery.

Police say the boy became entrapped beneath the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency crews.

The boy faces critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
