LAVEEN VILLAGE, AZ – A pedestrian died Wednesday afternoon after a car struck them along the freeway in Laveen Village, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.
The incident happened around 3:56 p.m. on the northbound side of Loop 202, or the South Mountain Freeway, near Vee Quiva Way.
Police have not yet commented on the circumstances of the crash, and it is unclear if the driver remained at the scene of the accident.
All lanes of traffic re-opened just after 5 p.m.
