News: 76-year-old killed in suspected hit-and-run

PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix police are investigating an apparent hit-and-run that claimed the life of a pedestrian on Monday night.

According to the Arizona Republic, 76-year-old Carlos Gonzalez was found unresponsive with injuries consistent with a car accident near the intersection of 37th Avenue and Glendale Avenue at about 8:10 p.m.

Gonzalez was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigators believe a silver vehilce was involved in the crash. However, no arrests have been made as of this writing.
