TUCSON, AZ – A woman was killed when she was hit by a vehilce while crossing the street near Morris K. Udall Park on Monday night.
According to a report by KGUN, the woman was hit by a 2002 Toyota Prius while attempting to cross East Tanque Verde Road, near Sabino Canyon Road.
The pedestrian, who has since been identified as 51-year-old Sierra Deborah Waters, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she died a short time later.
The driver of the Prius was determined to be impaired at the scene. It is unclear at this time if they will face any charges.
