CENTRAL PHOENIX, AZ – A 21-year-old woman died and three others were sent to a hospital following a three-car crash that occurred on Sunday, ABC15 reports.
The collision happened around 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Thomas Road. Preliminary details suggest that a man was speeding when he ran a red light at 7th Avenue and crashed into the 21-year-old woman’s vehicle.
One of their vehicles then crashed into a third vehicle on southbound 7th Avenue.
The force of the crash caused one vehicle to overturn and left many with significant damage.
One person had to be extricated from their vehicle.
Police said the man who was speeding was left with serious injuries. Three people, including the man, were taken to the hospital. Some also sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim has since been identified as Trinity Brewer.
Charges are pending.
