GLENDALE, AZ – Two women died, and three children were hurt following a two-vehicle crash at the Bell Road and Loop 101 intersection on Friday.
ABC 15 said the collision happened around 5:30 p.m. on Bell Road near Loop 101. It was a silver Hyundai and a white GMC that collided.
The two women in the GMC died from their injuries, and the three children inside the car sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The victims have since been identified as 21-year-old Jaslin Avila and 24-year-old Cynthia Garcia Morales.
Officials extricated Avila and Garcia Morales from their vehicle and shut down the road for the overall scene clearance and investigation.
The exact cause of the collision is being determined.
