News: 2-vehicle crash at 51st and Cactus hospitalizes 3

PHOENIX, AZ – Three men went to the hospital with serious injuries this morning after two cars collided at an intersection in northwest Phoenix, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.

Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. at the intersection of North 51st Avenue and Cactus Road, which is in the Parkwood area of Phoenix.

It’s unclear how the accident happened, but authorities say a pickup truck was involved and that two men in their 50s and 60s suffered critical injuries. Medics transported a third man to the hospital in stable condition.

Officials encouraged motorists to avoid the area and to seek alternate routes.

A full investigation of the circumstances of the crash is underway.
