News: 2 teens killed in single-vehicle crash in Surprise

SURPRISE, AZ – A 17-year-old and a 16-year-old died Wednesday after their vehicle crashed alongside a busy roadway in Surprise, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.

The incident happened just after 5 p.m. near the intersection of North 151st Drive and West Paradise Lane, which is just west of Royals Field.

The investigation thus far indicates that the driver left the roadway while travelling at a high rate of speed and crashed into a tree.

The driver died at the scene of the collision, and one passenger died after transport to the local hospital.

Two other passengers, an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old, went to the hospital with injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
