SURPRISE, AZ – Two people were killed and two seriously injured in a wrong-way crash on NB Loop 303 on Wednesday night.
FOX10 News reports an elderly woman was driving south in the northbound lanes on Loop 303 near Bell Rd. when she hit a car head-on around 9 p.m.
The elderly woman was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
Local authorities report the female driver of the other vehicle and two children, ages 2 and 8 months, were transported to a local hospital for serious injuries. The 2-year-old died at the hospital.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
