SURPRISE, AZ – One person was killed and several people were hospitalized following a collision that occurred in Surprise on Friday.
The crash took place before 11 a.m. at the intersection of Waddell Road and Sarival Avenue, Fox10Phoenix reports.
Ambulance crews took multiple people to a hospital, where one person died.
Officials shut down eastbound Waddell Rd. along Sarival for the scene clean-up process and for the investigation period. During the closures, drivers were asked to use Greenway or Reems Roads as an alternative route.
Police are actively working to determine the events that led to the crash.
