NORTH PHOENIX, AZ – An 84-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian crash that occurred in North Phoenix around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
The 84-year-old man was walking in the area of North 32nd Street and Bell Road when he was struck by a vehicle, 12News reports.
The man was hit in the middle of the intersection. EMS crews rushed him to a hospital, where he later died. He has since been identified as Edward Pickles.
The driver stayed at the scene. Phoenix Police did not suspect the motorist was impaired while operating their vehicle.
A full investigation continues.
