MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ – Crews had to rescue at least one person from the wreckage of a vehicle that was crushed by a semi-truck Friday morning on Interstate 10 near Tonopah, reports FOX 10 Phoenix.
The accident happened on the westbound side of I-10, near Wintersburg Road, in an area west of Phoenix.
Little information has been made available at this time, but the Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed one person was extricated at the scene. The extent of their injuries has not been specified.
Part of the interstate was shut down because of the incident, but by the time of FOX 10’s 12:14 p.m. update, all lanes had been reopened to traffic.
