PHOENIX, AZ – Authorities responded to a crash involving a para-transit bus late Friday morning in north Phoenix that claimed the life of a motorcyclist, reports AZ Family.
The fatal incident occurred near 28th Drive and Peoria Avenue, near the Metrocenter. Phoenix Police were dispatched to the scene at about 11:30 a.m.
An investigation remains in progress, but preliminary details show a man was operating a motorcycle that collided with the bus.
The rider, who was rushed to a local hospital in “extremely critical condition,” was later pronounced deceased.
A section of Peoria Avenue was blocked by the scene until shortly after 4:00 p.m.
