PHOENIX, AZ – According to 12 News, a woman died following a wreck near W Beardsley Rd and N 7th Ave on Saturday.
Dustin Peck, 36, was driving east on Beardsley Rd when he ran a red light and struck a median before colliding with a vehicle driven by Maxine Carstedt, 77, around 10 p.m.
Peck suffered minor injuries and Carstedt died at the scene.
Authorities believe impairment was a factor in the crash and arrested Peck. Peck was charged with DUI and manslaughter.
