WEST PHOENIX, AZ – A runner’s life was claimed in a crash that happened in West Phoenix on Saturday, AZFamily said.
The runner, a 35-year-old man, was struck by a vehicle in the area of North 79th Avenue and McDowell Road.
The man was said to have not used a crosswalk and did not yield to traffic at the time of the crash. EMS crews transported him to a hospital, where he later died.
Police have identified the runner as Dakota Antone.
The driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
A full investigation is underway.
