MARICOPA, AZ – One person died, and two others were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision on State Route 347 North on Thursday.
Arizona Department of Public Safety told KTAR the three-vehicle crash happened before 6:30 a.m. north of Casa Blanca Road. Officials shut down the area for several hours to accommodate the on-scene clean-up process and investigation, and reopened all lanes around 2 p.m.
Southbound traffic was not impacted.
The cause of the crash and the identity of the deceased have not been released.
