GLENDALE, AZ – Arizona Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the scene of a multi-vehicle rear-end collision on Loop 101 on Tuesday, AzFamily reports.
Preliminary details indicate that a pickup truck driver rear-ended two vehicles in front of them, which slowed for a crash blocking the shoulder of Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway near 67th Avenue.
Arizona Department of Public Safety said law enforcement and fire crews were responding to an initial motorcycle crash when the rear-end collision occurred. Authorities believe the motorcyclist crashed into a wall barrier, leaving them with a broken ankle.
No injuries were reported for the pickup truck driver and other occupants involved in the rear-end collision.
Authorities blocked two right lanes on westbound Loop 101, which led to a temporary traffic delay that extended toward 67th Avenue. All closures have since been lifted.
