News: Woman killed after driver run red light in west Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – A 33-year-old woman was killed Monday when another driver ran a red light in west Phoenix and slammed into her vehicle.

According to 12 News, a car ran the red light at 43rd Avenue and Northern Avenue at about 11:15 a.m. and collided with another vehicle driven by Adele Adwar Murad.

Murads SUV overturned as a result of the crash, pinning her inside. She was pulled from the vehicle and rushed to a local hospital, where she died a short time later. The driver of the other vehicle was also hospitalist, but is expected to survive.

Charges are pending at this time.
