PHOENIX, AZ – A woman in a wheelchair was taken to the hospital after a hit-and-run crash in the Maryvale neighborhood on Thursday.
Police told Arizona Family that they believe the woman in the wheelchair was struck by a black four-door sedan in the area of 28th Avenue and Thomas Road.
The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene prior to first responders’ arrival.
First responders pulled up to the scene around midnight and found a woman with a broken leg. EMS crews rushed her to a hospital, where she is recovering.
