PHOENIX, AZ – A woman was brought to the hospital after a hit-and-run collision west of Grand Canyon University on Sunday.
Police told Fox10Phoenix that the incident unfolded around 2 a.m. when a female pedestrian was crossing the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road and was struck by an SUV.
The driver of that unspecified SUV did not render aid to the woman and fled the scene before police’s arrival.
Officials are actively searching for the driver and have not announced any arrests at this time.
