PHOENIX, AZ – A woman was killed after she crashed and attempted to walk across Loop 202 in Chandler early Monday.
According to CBS 5, the woman’s vehicle crashed into a concrete divider near the exit to McClintock Drive at about 1 p.m. Despite an officer’s warning to stay inside her vehicle, the woman got out and attempted to cross the roadway on foot when she was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that hit her drove off. It is unclear at this time if any arrests have been made.
