WADDELL, AZ – A 52-year-old woman from Goodyear died from her injuries after being struck by several vehicles outside the Luke Air Force Base on Saturday.
Arizona Family said the incident unfolded after 2:30 a.m., when the Goodyear woman, identified as Valerie Theresa Chesnut, was trying to cross southbound State Route 303, when she was hit by a pickup truck in the left lane.
Chesnut was then struck by two additional cars.
The pickup truck driver supposedly fled the scene and was towing a car-hauler trailer. Authorities believe they were headed to California.
