News Update: One killed, 2 sent to hospital after SR 51 crash 

CENTRAL PHOENIX, AZ – According to new information from AZ Family, one person died at the scene and two others were sent to a hospital after an SR 51 crash on Monday.

Arizona Department of Public Safety initially said two people were taken to a hospital and said one died there. However, officials later confirmed one person died at the scene and two others were left with unspecified injuries.

Preliminary details show that a driver had crashed into a median wall and had gone over an embankment off I-10 East and SR-51 North. The force of the collision also ejected one person.

No other details, including the victim’s name and the contributing factors behind the crash, were reported.
