News: Teen pedestrian struck, killed at 57th Ave and Thomas

PHOENIX, AZ – A 17-year-old boy died Wednesday evening after an alleged impaired driver struck him at a busy intersection in west Phoenix, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.

The incident happened just after 6 p.m. near the intersection of North 57th Avenue and Thomas Road, which is just south of Marivue Park.

It’s unclear how the crash happened, but police say the driver remained at the scene. They suspect the driver may have been impaired at the time of the accident.

The teenage boy died at the scene of the crash. Authorities identified him as Pascal Asukulu.

A full investigation is underway.
