PHOENIX, AZ – According to CBS 5, a male teenage driver allegedly hit a police officer near 35th Ave and Northern Ave on Friday.
The officer had pulled over the teen for a traffic stop when the teen hit the officer as he drove away.
Following the collision, the teen driver led officers on a pursuit, which ended near 42nd Ave and Camelback Rd.
Rescue crews transported the officer to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities charged the teen with aggravated assault on a police officer and booked him in jail.
