News: Stolen-vehicle crash leaves 3 dead, 6 seriously injured

PHOENIX, AZ – A stolen vehicle was involved in a crash that killed three people and seriously injured six others at the intersection of 43rd Ave. and Thunderbird Rd. early Friday morning.

According to ABC15, a stolen vehicle was speeding northbound on 43rd Ave. when it struck a southbound vehicle that was attempting to turn left onto W. Thunderbird Rd.

The vehicle that was struck caught fire. Three people in this vehicle were pronounced dead at the crash scene.

Six people in the stolen vehicle were transported to a local hospital for serious injuries. Their current conditions are unknown. The ages of the injured range from teenagers to young adults.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
