PHOENIX, AZ – An elderly man went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Friday after a vehicle struck him near an intersection in Phoenix, reports abc15 Arizona.

The incident happened sometime before 9:38 a.m. on Friday in the area of Thomas Road and North 56th Street.

Police have not yet released a report regarding the incident, but officials say the elderly pedestrian is in critical condition at a local hospital.
