News: Police investigate fatal auto vs. pedestrian collision near Moon Valley Gardens

PHOENIX, AZ – A driver fatally collided with a pedestrian near W Wood Dr and N 19th Ave Friday, according to AZ Family.

The driver hit a 12-year-old boy around 6:50 p.m.

Rescue crews transported the boy to an area hospital, where he died.

Authorities do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the collision.

The incident is under investigation by the Phoenix Police Department.
