News: Police arrest woman for deadly hit-and-run near Moon Valley Gardens

PHOENIX, AZ – According to 12 News, authorities arrested a woman on Jan. 29 for a fatal hit-and-run that happened near 13th St Ln Thunderbird Rd on Dec. 14.

Paula Miller, 73, allegedly turned in front of Katerina Penrose, 31, as Penrose was riding a motorcycle west on Thunderbird Rd. Police believer Miller then fled the scene of the accident.

Rescue crews transported Penrose to an area hospital, where she died.

Police eventually identified Miller as the driver who left the scene of the accident after an extensive search.

Authorities have charged Miller with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in a death.
