News: Police arrest woman for deadly hit-and-run near Kuban Park

PHOENIX, AZ – According to AZFamilly, authorities have arrested a woman for a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred near S 35th Avenue and W Buckeye Road on February 26.

Police believe Denisse Rodriguez-Cardenas, 36, was driving when she hit 41-year-old Angelica Pesqueira-Corrales, a pedestrian. Rodriguez-Cardenas left the scene before officers arrived on the scene.

First responders transported Pesqueira-Corrales to an area hospital, where she died.

On the following Saturday, March 1, authorities arrested Rodriguez-Cardenas. It’s unclear at this time what charges she will be facing.
