News: Pickup truck strikes, injures 3-year-old in Buckeye

BUCKEYE, AZ – A three-year-old girl went to the hospital Tuesday evening after a vehicle struck her along a roadway in Buckeye, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.

Police say the incident happened around 6 p.m. in the area of Broadway Road and South Apache Road, which is near the Estrella Vista neighborhood.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the child ran into the roadway in front of a family member’s pickup truck as it was leaving her house. The pickup truck hit the child accidentally.

Medics airlifted the little girl to an area hospital for treatment. The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.
