GLENDALE, AZ – A person was critically hurt in a bicycle-vehicle collision in the Westgate neighborhood on Sunday.
AZFamily said the bicycle-vehicle collision happened in the area of Glendale Avenue and 91st Avenue. The person was hit by an SUV while cycling east in the westbound lanes.
The cyclist sustained a fractured skull and femur and was transported to a hospital for treatment of critical, life-threatening injuries.
Glendale Police and crews closed Glendale Avenue between 89th and 91st Avenue for the scene clean-up process and overall investigation.
Police did not confirm whether impairment played a role in the crash.
