PHOENIX, AZ – A 25-year-old male pedestrian died after a vehicle struck him near a busy intersection Tuesday night before fleeing the scene, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.
Police say the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of 19th Avenue and Camelback Road, which is just east of I-17.
Authorities identified the victim as Cedric Martinez. They say he died at the scene of the collision.
Investigators have neither identified a suspected driver, nor have they released details about how the incident occurred. They invite anyone with information to call the Phoenix Police Department.
