PHOENIX, AZ – A pedestrian lost their life to a hit-and-run crash that occurred in Winona Park Friday morning, 12News reports.
A Jeep Cherokee driver struck a man as he was crossing the intersection of 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road. The driver, who appeared to be a woman in her 40s, reportedly stopped, exited her car, and then drove off without rendering aid or calling 911.
Phoenix police pronounced the man dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
Police urge the public to contact them immediately if they have any information concerning the suspect or the crash.
