News: Officials release more info on deadly crash near Prescott

WILLIAMSON, AZ – Officials have provided more details concerning the fatal crash that occurred on Williamson Valley Road near West Levie Lane on March 22, according to AZFamily.

Jesse Foreman was driving a Toyota 4Runner when he strayed into oncoming traffic and slammed head-on into a Jeep SUV. The 4Runner was occupied by Foreman, his three children, and their mother. A woman in her 60s and her adult son were inside the Jeep.

Data recovered from the vehicles showed that Foreman was driving at 70.8 mph five seconds before the crash and was going 60-70 mph at the time of impact. The Jeep driver was going around 53 mph during the wreck. Just before the incident, the Jeep driver performed a maneuver to minimize the impact, which possibly saved her and her son’s lives.

First responders pronounced Foreman and a child dead at the scene. Another child died at the hospital. The third child was hospitalized in critical condition. The mother from the 4Runner and the people in the Jeep were flown to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office believes impairment may have been a factor in the collision and is waiting on a toxicology report to confirm that.
