APACHE JUNCTION, AZ – An Apache Junction police officer was hurt, and another person died following a two-vehicle collision at W Apache Trail and N Valley Dr on Tuesday, according to AZFamily.
The officer was responding to a call when they collided with another vehicle around 4:30 p.m.
The other driver died in the collision.
First responders transported the officer to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Crews shut down the area to process the scene following the wreck
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
The incident is under investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
