PHOENIX, AZ – An unknown number of drivers fatally ran over a pedestrian near 83rd Ave and Osborn Rd on Friday, according to CBS 5.
A driver hit Giovany Escobedo, 29, around 6 p.m. as Escobedo was walking in a crosswalk without the signal to walk. The collision knocked Escobedo to the ground. An unknown number of drivers then ran over Escobedo.
Following the initial collision, the first driver remained at the scene. Police determined they were not impaired. The other drivers did not stop.
The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident.
