PHOENIX, AZ – A 23-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon in a crash involving four vehicles near a construction zone in north Phoenix, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.
The incident happened just after 4 p.m. near the intersection of East Pinnacle Peak Road and Cave Creek Road, which is just northwest of the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
The investigation thus far indicates that the victim’s northbound vehicle crashed into another car in a construction zone just after the roadway narrowed to one lane. The force of the collision caused the victim’s vehicle to veer into the southbound lanes where it was struck by a car and a truck pulling a trailer.
The victim died at the scene. Authorities identified her as Sarah Warren.
It’s still unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the crash. A full investigation is underway.
