News: Motorcyclist killed in single-vehicle crash in Citrus Hills

PHOENIX, AZ – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening when he crashed into a tree in Phoenix’s Citrus Hills neighborhood.

According to KTAR, 43-year-old Jose Moraga-Garcia lost control of his motorcycle for unknown reasons near 15th Street and Chambers Street around 10:10 p.m. The motorcycle then struck a curb before slamming into a tree.

Moraga-Garcia was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. An unidentified male passenger on the motorcycle was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the deadly crash.
