News: Motorcyclist killed in Peoria 2-vehicle collision

PEORIA, AZ – A motorcyclist died after running a red light and colliding with an SUV at a busy intersection in Peoria Tuesday morning, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.

Police say the incident happened just after midnight near the intersection of West Olive Avenue and Arizona State Route 101, or the Agua Fria Freeway.

The investigation suggests that a westbound motorcyclist ran several red lights on West Olive Avenue before crashing into an SUV near the on-ramp for Arizona State Route 101.

The motorcyclist died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the SUV went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

A full investigation of the incident is underway.
