MARICOPA, AZ – According to 12 News, a motorcyclist died in a wreck while eluding police on John Wayne Pkwy near Alterra Pkwy on Thursday.
Authorities pulled over the motorcyclist around 3 a.m. The motorcyclist sped off at high speeds before the traffic stop was finished, leading officers on a chase.
The motorcyclist crashed near Alterra Pkway.
Rescue crews pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
Officials have not released the motorcyclist’s name.
