MESA, AZ – A motorcyclist was hurt when they hit a car on Loop 202 near Gilbert Rd on Tuesday, according to AZFamily.
The motorcyclist was going over 100 mph when they slammed into the back of a car around 6 p.m. The collision launched the rider off the bike, and they landed on the roadway. Another vehicle then ran over the rider.
Rescue crews transported the rider to an area hospital in critical condition. Nobody else was hurt.
Crews shut down the area for several hours to clear the scene and investigate the accident. It was reopened Tuesday evening.
The incident is under investigation.
