PHOENIX, AZ – According to AZFamily, a driver struck and killed a man near 16th St and Thomas Rd on Tuesday.
The driver was heading east on Thomas Rd when he collided with Jimmy Contreras, 68, around 9:30 p.m. Contreras was in the roadway at the time of the collision.
Rescue crews transported Contreras to an area hospital, where he died.
Following the collision, the driver stayed at the scene. It is unclear if they face any charges.
