News: Mesa PD officer hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision 

MESA, AZ – A Mesa police officer was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision that occurred outside the Mesa Gateway Airport on Monday. 

The police officer was riding a motorcycle when they collided with another vehicle at Loop 202 and State Route 24 around 9 p.m., Fox10Phoenix said. 

EMS crews transported the police officer to a hospital for treatment of injuries deemed non-life-threatening. 

Police confirmed the other driver was uninjured and does not believe impairment was a contributing factor behind the collision. 

The cause of the crash has not been made immediately clear.
